Stopped in to try Huff & Puff BBQ tonight for dinner. We wanted to try a little of everything so we ordered the Sampler for 2 and WOW. My boyfriend and I both agreed it is close to the best, if not the best, bbq either of us have ever had. For sides we ordered the fries and the collard greens. His favorite was the ribs while mine was the pulled pork (so salty and delicious), although the sauce on the ribs was my favorite sauce as well (sweet but not too sweet). There were no duds, everything was fantastic. Highly recommend and we will definitely be back!!!!
So I checked this place out with a good friend of mine while visiting Philadelphia, and I must say that this place was very delicious! The owner greeted us and he was very warm and generous in spirit! It was a hot day out, and he made sure that we had cold water bottles for the table!! I ordered the fried pickles as an appetizer and they were beyond delicious! The romulaude sauce really helped the bold flavors come to life! Me and my friend bulldozed through these things!...
This place is a little spendy but totally worth it. The wings are delish but the brisket sandwich was TOP NOTCH. I have had a lot of BBQ all over the country and this brisket is near (if not AT) the top of the list. Juicy and flavorful with cheese that adds the perfect touch. I barely used the Louisiana style bbq sauce because it didn't need it - it was good tho! I can't wait to hit this place up again. Get there yourself before I eat it all!
This is a great place for those families who feature both hardcore carnivores and hardcore vegetarians/vegans. The half-rack of St. Louis ribs was excellent with a nice sweet bbq sauce. Not hot, not mustardy, but it works very nicely. The seitan ribs were very good, as well. As far as sides, loved the rustic fries, thick-cut curly fries. I hope this place takes off because it offers quality food to folks across many dietary preferences.
A friend came to town to visit and had found this place online. My understanding is it's relatively new, but they seem to be doing a great job getting going. I had the pulled pork sandwich and I can't remember what my friend got, but the real standout for us was the corn ribs. Such a simple idea but they were AMAZING. I'm really excited to go back and try the smoked watermelon. I've heard of people doing that before, and we'll see what happens...
